YES.
Here is a tour of my walk from the subte (subway/metro/tube) to my job at Hebraica, a total of 5 blocks:
First I pass... | .jpg) |
AMIA, a Jewish center that was the site of a tragic terrorist bombing in 1994, resulting in the concrete baracades in front of the building that now mark the site of Jewish organizations throughout the city.
.jpg)
A stationary/card story that specializes in invitations for Bat and Bar Mitzvahs.
.jpg)
Mezuzahs galore! Many of the stores as you walk down the street have mezuzahs as you enter.
.jpg)
Look at that matzah meal in the window! Here is a Jewish butcher and grocery store.
.jpg)
"World of the Wigs", a place that sells sheitels to Jewish women in the neighborhood
.jpg)
Bookstores full of Jewish books such as Sholem Alejeim.
.jpg)
Chabad (or Jabad if you are in Argentina) house...one of about a dozen in the city of Buenos Aires
It is fun living and working in a community full of Jewish life!
